There are some very suspicious loopholes growers can use to get their produce certified as organic. In certain sub-categories, produce can be as little as 70 percent organic but still considered organically grown. As a matter of fact, until 2002 there was NO measure for "certified organic" produce. This is a scary thought considering so many people love the idea of organic food sources, but aren't getting what they think. This is not to say that all organic food is a "fraud", but the best way to be sure youre getting a real organic product is to grow it organically yourself.

We have everything you would need to grow your own 100 percent organic produce.  From organic seeds to organic fertilizers and soils, we can walk you through every step to make sure you get exactly what you're looking for. This is a great time of year to start your seeds indoors so that you can enjoy them when summer arrives. All you need is a sunny window, a Jiffy Pot starter kit, the seeds you wish to grow, and some patience. Most vegetables can be started indoors 4-9 weeks before the last frost, then transplanted outside in mid-spring. This gives you a great early summer harvest and you will have fresh produce for all your cookouts and summer parties. Grow organic, eat healthy, and be proud of what you've accomplished.
